Statement of Faith

While it is understood that there are differences of opinion on many issues concerning the Christian Faith, this site believes in, and promotes the Fundamental Doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ as universally recognized. These Doctrines include, but are not limited to the following:

(1) The Bible is the inspired infallible Word of God which is fully trustworthy in all manners of Faith and Practice.

(2) There is One God who expresses Himself to us as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(3) That these three persons constitute the Holy Trinity, and that they are of the same essence and are eternally present.

(4) That Scripture declares Jesus Christ to be the only begotten Son of the Father in Heaven; and that He was born of a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit.

(5) The whole human race descended from two people: Adam and Eve; and that humanity dwells in a fallen state because of the disobedience instituted by these two people in the Garden of Eden, and followed by subsequent generations. As such, the wages of sin, which is death, gained dominion over every person.

(6) That God so loved the world that He instituted a plan whereby each person may be recovered from their fallen state and have right standing with their creator.

(7) That God the Father sent the Word, who was made flesh, and manifested in the world in the person of Jesus Christ; and that He lived a perfect sinless life that He may be offered as a substitutionary sacrifice, wholly acceptable to God to effect the redemption of humanity.

(8) That Salvation is entirely the work of God, and is through faith alone in the blood of Jesus which was shed upon the cross of Calvary; and His subsequent resurrection from the dead followed by His triumphant ascent to Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father.

(9) That He, in heaven, is constantly making intercession on behalf of all who put their trust in Him, and that there is salvation in no other person.

(10) In due season, Jesus Christ will return, receive His church up to Himself (both the living and the resurrected dead). He and the faithful who believe in Him, are destined to rule over this present world for 1,000 years following His revelation from Heaven.

(11) In the interim, all believers are called to lives of holiness, without which no one will see God. The holiness we are called to is brought about in our lives only through submission to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

(12) That both the righteous and the wicked are destined to be resurrected by God for judgment. Those who have accepted God's plan of redemption unto eternal life in a new creation: and those who have rejected it, unto eternal damnation in a lake of fire which shall never be quenched.
